1992 was the year that the relationship between Princess Diana and other senior British royals changed irreversibly. In June Diana collaborated with UK author Andrew Morton in a book which exposed Prince Charles’ relationship with his lover Camilla Parker-Bowles and Diana’s mistreatment by senior members of the royal family.

Archaeologists have begun hunting for mysterious prehistoric standing stones which disappeared more than 35 years ago.

The lost site, known as Yelland Stone row, was once visible at Isley Marsh, near Barnstaple in Devon, but vanished under a deep layer of silt after water currents at the Taw estuary changed when Yelland Power station shut down in the 1980s.

Nighthawks, illegal metal detectorists who search for treasure at night, have hit one of the best-preserved sections of Hadrian’s Wall. Historic England has sent out a call to action to the public with a plea that the destruction and looting will stop.

The destruction left by the nighthawks is visible in over 50 holes around Brunton Turret in Northumberland. This section of the wall has been very well-preserved and was built by the 20th Legion of the Roman army.

I live in a world that is muffled for sound and touch and taste and my son helps me navigate it.
I shout too loudly. You do shout when you have the cotton wool, but others hear you too much.
I get stressed – scared and I rage – and then the silence sounds HUGE. I look around and see that noone is there. Isolation is deafening and painful.
I am trapped inside a glass prison. Its invisible layers are ice and as I thaw my limbs will ache and throb.
I don’t know why I am buried in cotton wool or trapped inside ice? I don’t know when it happened but I remember as a kid, two sets of eyes peering through a fence saying they wouldn’t play with me and to go away. Other girls at school in groups stung me like bees. Bully. Kick. Leave out. Shun.
