The discovery of Sarah’s painting.

Précis from my book, Dogged Days

On 5th July 2000, 5 days after Sarah vanished, a picture crammed with occult suggestions, that the Sun newspaper said had been painted by Sarah, was published on page 3. I came across it in odd circumstances.

On that day I was on my way to visit friends in Norfolk and arrived in Norwich very early in the morning hoping to find a café open. I was a little early for that but the garage next door was open so I decided to buy a drink and something to read from there. The only newspaper on show was the Sun, which is not a paper that I would buy but under the circumstances. When I queried the shop assistant about it he told me that he didn’t know why but it was the only newspaper that had arrived that day. Back in the car, when I flicked through the pages, I could not believe what I was seeing; I felt a chill, one that has never left me to this day when I think about it. As soon as I could I made sure that the presence of this painting was known around the world.

I’m told the painting only appeared in that first edition of the Sun. I have been unable to verify if this is true. If anyone can help in confirming if this was the case, please let me know.

What happened to Daniel Nolan? The official theory doesn’t wash.

These articles were first published on my website in 2003. They focus, in the beginning, on the puzzling disappearance of a 14-year-old lad called Daniel Nolan. Daniel vanished around midnight on New Year Day 2002 from the Hampshire harbour town of Hamble-le-Rice.

dannolan“The River and surrounding waters have been searched thoroughly but there is no evidence to show he fell in. He is a competent swimmer and has a wide knowledge of the River – he would not intentionally put himself in danger. He may have been taken by someone in a vehicle or on a boat.
This is the last picture we have of Dan, taken with the digital camera he received for Christmas.”

The first part is a précis of the first article I wrote on Daniel’s disappearance. I had been asked to look into it. Following on is the second article almost in its entirety. It looks at other crimes as well.

Some of the original links are now redundant and I have also added more information.

The truth about what happened to Daniel has never been revealed by the police publicly, yet.

Around the same time the remains of two other youngsters were discovered on the shores of the Solent yachting mecca, and territory (hunting ground?) of the accused child-abuser and killer, Ted Heath…Heath used Hamble.

Psychic visions

A repost from my former website: Looking into the Dark Places.

My heart always goes out to those family and friends who are going through what nobody should have to. I always find it very distressing. How the conscientious police investigators cope with their jobs day-in-day-out…well,  it’s a good job they do.

Sometimes psychics are moved to use their abilities to try to help find missing people. I can only talk from personal experience but for me it is only with some cases.

One such instance occurred early one Sunday evening on the 2nd July 2000 whilst driving home from Avebury.

sarahpayne1This painting was printed in the London Sun on Wednesday 5th July 2000. It is by Sarah Payne, a sarah_s_paintinglittle girl who disappeared from a country lane near Kingston Gorse, West Sussex, on 1st July 2000.

It hung in the classroom at her school, Bell Farm Junior School in Walton-on-Thames, near London. It is a remarkable piece of artwork. Continue reading
