Dr. Sam Bailey: I last interviewed Marvin Haberland in October 2022, when he was challenging a court fine in Germany. He had deliberately broken “corona” legislation to expose the fraudulent nature of virology. He argued that because virology does not follow the scientific method, any penalty notices issued under their Infectious Diseases legislation were illegal.

Iain Davis, Off-Guardian: So-called conspiracy theories abound, especially among those who attack others by calling them conspiracy theorists. There are official conspiracy theories, such as the government-approved stories about 9/11, the 7/7 bombings, the Manchester Arena attack and so on. There are also unofficial conspiracy theories, such as the expressed opinion of Richard D. Hall that the Manchester arena attack was a staged simulation without injury or death but performed and reported as if real.
We have to use the term “conspiracy theory” advisedly because, as we shall see, conspiracy theory, as we understand the term, doesn’t exist. “Conspiracy theory” is really just an opinion that the state does not wish anyone to either hold or express.
Ronald Hutton, Gresham College: Since the late 19th century, scholars have thought the poetry and stories of medieval Wales, gathered in manuscripts such as the Red Book of Hergest and the Book of Taliesin, represent stories about pagan gods and goddesses – but recently this has been challenged. These books deal with magic and enchantment and contain vivid characters such as Rhiannon, the proud and wilful Arianrhod, the beautiful and treacherous flower-maiden Blodeuwedd, the decent and vulnerable Lleu Llaw Gyffes, and the supreme bard Taliesin.

(It is clear, by the way, that Charles decided many years ago that his coronation should contain non-Christian elements. Charles is no king. It’s time to abandon the royal family and send them back to Germany.

Paul Seaburn, Mysterious Universe: It seems that just about every culture has a myth or a folklore about winged beings who may be good or evil or somewhere in between. As such, it is nearly impossible to keep track of all of them – something one might wish to do for fun or in case you may be visiting a foreign country and want to make sure you know what to do if you encounter one. An interesting and unusual fairy species popped up on the Internet recently and its location and history in a place called the Land of the Fairies makes it one you may want to add to your list … especially if you are planning a visit to the mountains of Pakistan.
The name of the fairy is the Peri – a word from Old Persian roots which means “wing.” In Persian folklore, they are said to live in Peristan, a name which means “land of fairies” and is traditionally believed to be at the top of Terich Mir, the highest mountain peak in the Hindu Kush range in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, and, at 25,289 ft (7,708 meters), the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas–Karakoram range.
