Wow! …a scientist must have died:

Donald Hoffman, Aeon: Many scientists believe that natural selection brought our perception of reality into clearer and deeper focus, reasoning that growing more attuned to the outside world gave our ancestors an evolutionary edge. Donald Hoffman, a cognitive scientist at the University of California, Irvine, thinks that just the opposite is true. Because evolution selects for survival, not accuracy, he proposes that our conscious experience masks reality behind millennia of adaptions for ‘fitness payoffs’ – an argument supported by his work running evolutionary game-theory simulations. In this interview recorded at the HowTheLightGetsIn Festival from the Institute of Arts and Ideas in 2019, Hoffman explains why he believes that perception must necessarily hide reality for conscious agents to survive and reproduce. With that view serving as a springboard, the wide-ranging discussion also touches on Hoffman’s consciousness-centric framework for reality, and its potential implications for our everyday lives.

Brent Swancer, Mysterious Universe: Ever since we have been aware that the spirits of the dead may exist, we have sought to contact them. There is an incredible allure and desire to wanting to get in touch with those who have passed, and over the centuries there have been many efforts made along these lines. From spirit mediums, to Ouija boards, to more modern devices such as EVP recordings and “spirit boxes,” we just can’t resist the urge to try and make contact with the world of the dead. Some of these methods have been somewhat lost to time, and one of the more interesting of these is an ancient divination technique that fell through the crack of history only to be revived in modern times.

Ryan S. Wood, Majic Eyes Only: If extraterrestrial life exists, then the biggest question of all must surely be: does that life possess advanced intelligence? Ryan Wood’s latest book Majic Eyes Only presents convincing evidence that extraterrestrial intelligence is significantly more advanced than that of humankind.

Ryan S. Wood:

Paul Seaburn, Mysterious Universe: With everything happening in politics in the U.S., it’s hard to imagine that other countries have similar problems and scandals. It’s even harder to imagine other countries having to deal with scandals involving UFOs and aliens of the extraterrestrial kind. Yet that’s exactly what going on in Great Britain, where most people are probably happy for a distraction from Brexit. That list probably doesn’t include Jill ‘J.J.’ Hughes.

Max Igan:

“The illusion of freedom will continue for as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will take down the scenery, move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.” – Frank Zappa

“Who controls the past controls the future, who controls the present controls the past.” – George Orwell

When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest or treaty and there is nothing to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader. – Plato

“I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.” – Richard Feynman

“I have lived on the lip of insanity, wanting to know reasons, knocking on a door. It opens. I’ve been knocking from the inside.” – Rumi

Universal Law/sovereign law trumps all others.

1. No man or woman, in or out of government shall initiate force, threat of force or fraud against my life and property and, any and all contracts Im a party to not giving full disclosure to me whether signed by me or not are void at my discretion.

2. I may use force in self-defense against anyone that violates Law 1.

3. There shall be no exceptions to Law 1 and 2.

Wayne Herchel, the Hidden Records: Very few people have seen Stonehenge in its full ancient context as seen above. Mouse over the image to see the proposed Pleiades correlation. The area once surrounded in forrest would have had short grass clear of trees around the Winterbourne Stoke Barrows and Stonehenge itself. The cluster of barrows also has the typical leg of the bull shape found in many other ancient sites.

Tara Brown, 60 Minutes Australia, via Forbidden Knowledge TV: On Sunday, 60 Minutes Australia aired the first major broadcast about Jeffrey Epstein, interviewing the primary people involved in the scandal since he was declared dead last August. It is by far, the best coverage of this story by a Mainstream Media outlet to date.

Demonic:
Daily Mail: A Popeyes employee has been arrested after being caught on video body-slamming a customer outside a Tennessee store.
Deriance Ra’Shaiel Hughes, 29, has been charged with felony aggravated assault after allegedly attacking Debra Staggs in a dispute over her check.
Popeyes worker who ‘body-slammed’ a customer, 55, leaving her with a broken leg and six broken ribs is arrested as it’s revealed altercation happened because she was charged twice for her $13.11 meal

David Cowan:

Chris Farlowe (born John Henry Deighton, 13 October 1940, Islington, North London, England) is an English rock, blues and soul singer. He is best known for his hit single “Out of Time”, which rose to #1 in the UK Singles Chart in 1966,[1] and his association with Colosseum and the Thunderbirds. Outside his music career, Farlowe collects war memorabilia

Kristina Kristen, KLA TV: In the United States, many legislators and public health officials are busy trying to make vaccines de facto compulsory—either by removing parental/personal choice given by existing vaccine exemptions or by imposing undue quarantines and fines on those who do not comply with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) vaccine edicts. Officials in California are seeking to override medical opinion about fitness for vaccination, while those in New York are mandating the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine for 6-12-month-old infants for whom its safety and effectiveness “have not been established.”

The U.S. has the very highest infant mortality rate of all industrialized countries, with more American children dying at birth and in their first year than in any other comparable nation—and more than half of those who survive develop at least one chronic illness. Why do the FDA and CDC continue to endorse the problematic MMR vaccine despite Merck’s implication in fraud over the vaccine’s safety and efficacy? Why do U.S. legislators and government officials not demand a better alternative, as Japan did over two decades ago?

Morten Kringelbach, Aeon: Pleasure, despite being central to human experience and evolution, is quite hard to define. Aristotle argued that what we call pleasure is comprised of at least two distinct aspects, hedonia (pleasure) and eudaimonia (human flourishing or a life well-lived). However, as Morten Kringelbach, professor at the department of psychiatry at the University of Oxford in the UK and at the Centre for Music in the Brain at Aarhus University in Denmark, points out this instalment of Aeon’s In Sight series: ‘It’s surprisingly difficult to show that somebody who is happy is also somebody who has had a lot of pleasure.’

Alistair Williams, Sargon of Akkad: Comedian Alistair Williams made a joke about Theresa May and Brexit that went viral…then he got blacklisted.
