Mises Institute, Patrick Barron: When Britons voted on June 23, 2016 on whether or not to leave the EU there was no discussion of a “hard or soft Brexit”. These terms were invented after Brexit passed by a surprisingly large margin and the mostly anti-Brexit Tory Party government, especially its leadership, decided that it needed to negotiate the terms of leaving. Brexit supporters regard such terms as betraying the 2016 Brexit referendum itself. These 17.4 million Britons undoubtedly believed that Brexit would mean exactly that: Britain would no longer be governed by any EU laws, regulations, etc. Nevertheless, all that the world has heard since that day in June 2016 is a debate over the terms of leaving, with any so-called terms being labeled as a “soft Brexit” and leaving without any agreement as a “hard Brexit”.

Daily Mail: The woman behind a three-million strong petition to revoke Article 50 reportedly made a Facebook comment in which she threatened to shoot the Prime Minister.

Former college lecturer Margaret Anne Georgiadou made a viral petition backed by a host of celebrities, MPs and members of the public who want a second referendum.

In Facebook posts unearthed by blogger Guido Fawkes, she reportedly wrote online: ‘If i got hold of her ‘gun’ I’d shoot her [Theresa May] point blank in the name of patriotism’.

Ms Georgiadou spoke on LBC radio this afternoon, saying how she fed the petition by approaching ‘notable’ celebrities on Twitter for endorsements.

BBC: A 5,000-year-old stone monument has been seriously damaged by a metal detectorist in Jersey, the island’s heritage body said.

A man was spotted “illegally” using a detector and a trowel at the grade 1 listed archaeological site, Jersey Heritage (JH) said.

Any activity at La Hougue de Vinde dolmen required permission, it said.

Jersey Police said no-one had reported the incident to them.

The dolmen, near a southerly tip of the island, is comprised of a circular group of stones surrounded by a rubble wall.

It has previously been badly damaged by stone robbers, JH said.

In one of the most shocking moves to date about the 2019 measles outbreak, Rockland County officials have declared a state of emergency and has effectively banned any child under the age of 18, who has not received the MMR vaccine, from all public spaces.

“Effective at the stroke of midnight, Wednesday, March 27, anyone who is under 18 years of age and unvaccinated against the measles will be barred from public places until this declaration expires in 30 days or until they receive the MMR vaccination,” according to a statement from Rockland County officials.
