New Horizons St. Anne’s were delighted to introduce Marianne Birkby from Radiation Free Lakeland. Tens of millions of gallons of water a day over the last 70 years have been used to cool nuclear wastes made near Preston and ‘stored’ at Sellafield… who knew? The Nuclear Industry has first and last dibs on our precious fresh water. According to the former National Rivers Authority – now the Environment Agency – Sellafield used 97 million litres of fresh water (25 million gallons) a day in 1993. Compare this with the fracking industry’s admittedly shocking water use: Cuadrilla said that fracking the two wells at Preston New Road, which is now expected to take place in late August or early September, would use up to 32,500 litres. That’s a lot of water and quite rightly NGOs have been flagging this up. The silence has however been deafening over the far greater and ongoing freshwater use by the nuclear industry. Radiation Free Lakeland were keen to find out what the freshwater situation is today. Following Freedom of Information requests to track down this information, it was so heavily blacked out as to be illegible. But, what we can see through the redactions is mind-boggling…

The Australien Government has made an ad about government corruption, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative.

John Lear is a retired airline and for the past 25 years John has researched the subject of UFO’s and other related conspiracies. He insists that the United States Apollo missions never went to the moon and that the moon is inhabited with a civilization of more than 500 million humans like us but considerably more advanced who did not come from earth. John’s research holds that our solar system has 40 planets not 9 and that all planets and their moons and satellites are inhabited by humans similar to us as well as Extra Terrestrials. He further he states that mankind was conceived, engineered and built by ET’s who secretly control our lives and that mankind is only one strand of an infinite number of strands of life.

Just to clarify.  I’m sure most of you realise this (but not all, patently): I am not endorsing any products or services that come at you in adverts and commercials from any linked articles, videos or sites (including those inserted by WordPress). This includes those for Ozark publishing and Dolores Cannon on the video below. Please refer to Read this at the top right of this page.

You maybe read my account of the vision I had during those 911 days…well, believe it or not it has taken me all of this time, (and though I’ve heard the theory innumerable times, it was only after hearing John Lear talk here about the hologram planes) to realise that the small airliner I watched in 1997 silently hanging in the night sky was very likely a hologram, maybe even a test run, over a little village in Oxfordshire. Here’s my account of this incident, from my book, Dogged Days: Frozen in the sky….or, In Plane Sight.

Some think the “fast radio bursts” could be evidence of an extraterrestrial civilization.

For the past decade, scientists have been puzzling over powerful, millisecond-long flashes of energy from deep space. Some scientists think these “fast radio bursts,” or FRBs, come from natural sources, such as newborn neutron stars or black holes. Others think they could be signals from alien civilizations.

One of my loyal, long-time, expatriate readers recently sent me Benjamin Fulford’s latest blog posting, from 24 September 2018.

For those who don’t know, Benjamin Fulford has been featured on many “alternative” Internet websites, podcasts and YouTube channels for the last 10 years or so. In past decades, Fulford was a Japan-based correspondent for a number of different newspapers and magazines, including for several years as the Asian Bureau Chief for Forbes Magazine.

Fulford speaks Japanese and has many news sources in Asia and beyond in high finance, economics, politics, military agencies, journalism, industry, secret societies, royal families, martial arts organizations, organized crime, etc.

Photographs of what is considered to be one of the greatest hoaxes of the 20th century are expected to fetch more than £2,000 when they are sold at auction.

The two images of the Cottingley Fairies were taken in July and September 1917 by 16-year-old Elsie Wright and her nine-year-old cousin Frances Griffiths, in the village of Cottingley, near Bingley in Yorkshire.

History is an irresistible, inexorable force, moving on and plowing through time to leave many things simply buried in its wake even as it carves and barrels its way to the future. Of course there are the discoveries and artifacts from past times that we know of and which have helped to shape our view of what the world was once like and how it developed. We know of the past through the various pieces of it we manage to dig up throughout the world, which illuminate history and allow us to cobble and piece together a cracked, often foggy window through which we can glimpse past events. However, sometimes a relic or artifact will emerge that shatters that window through time, sending spiderwebs of cracks through what we thought we could see and distorting our sense of what we think we know, something so jarringly out of place as to make us question even reality itself. Here are some of the strange objects from the depths of time that have been dug up only to remain anomalies stuck in some fringe realm of history like strange ancient insects in amber, and indeed by all rights should not even exist at all.
Mysterious Ancient Artifacts That Shouldn’t Exist

Imagine, if you will, that beyond your towns and farms – the only world you know – dwell large settlements of aliens from outer space, of which you know very little, except that they are completely different, and incomprehensible. You see their flying saucers passing overhead, and more and more frequently they themselves are intruding into your domain. But you keep your distance, because oral tradition tells how they once committed terrible atrocities against your kind, or that once there were friendly relations, but then they brought the plague upon you.
This, essentially, is the experience of thousands of Indians who are literally hiding from the outside world in the fastness of the Amazon jungle. Every time it is announced that the last uncontacted tribe has been discovered, another turns up. But once there were millions of them – only to be wiped out by massacre and enslavement, but mostly, as in North America, by infectious diseases which could devastate whole communities before any white man arrived. And somewhere in this maelstrom of destruction there was lost a community which most people now relegate to mythology: the women warriors after which the Amazon River was named.

A commonly occurring phenomenon seen in the folklore and myth of a wide range of cultures throughout the world is the existence of miniature humanoid creatures. Faeries, dwarves, gnomes, leprechauns, or by whatever other names they are known, mysterious little people of various types have consistently emerged as important elements of folklore across the globe and throughout disparate cultures since time unremembered. On the island of Hokkaido, in the cold northern reaches of the Japanese archipelago, the indigenous Ainu people too have their long traditions of an ancient race of dwarf-like people thought to have inhabited the land since long before humans arrived.

In my book, Silver Screen Saucers: Sorting Fact from Fantasy in Hollywood’s UFO Movies, I devote an entire chapter to Hollywood’s historical engagement with the concept of alien abduction. The chapter documents the evolution of UFO abduction movies over six decades; it also features interviews with selected abductees (or “experiencers”), eliciting their personal perspectives on Hollywood’s depictions of a phenomenon that, to them, is closer to science fact than science fiction.

A no-deal Brexit would cause severe disruption across the UK’s culture, science and design sectors, industry leaders have said.

The expected loss of EU funding and uncertainty over the status of EU nationals after March 2019 meant UK museums were already losing scientists, researchers and curators, and there was a shortage of archaeologists, they said.

Although the Brexit white paper states the UK will seek a culture and education accord with the EU, Bernard Donoghue, the director of the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, said cultural organisations believed the government was unlikely to replace European Union funding for museums and the arts in the event of a no-deal.

“In the last six months, we’ve seen UK cultural organisations increasingly excluded from EU funding initiatives in anticipation of Brexit,” Donoghue said. “We’re already seeing a brain drain of skilled workers in the culture, science and design sectors who are leaving because either they know that the EU funding for their job is going to dry up or they’re insecure about the status of their jobs post-March 2019.”

Off you go then…and mind the door doesn’t hit you on the arse on your way out!

The UK government is preparing to establish a new internet regulator that would make tech firms liable for content published on their platforms and have the power to sanction companies that fail to take down illegal material and hate speech within hours, BuzzFeed News can reveal.

Under legislation being drafted by the Home Office and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) due to be announced this winter, a new regulatory framework for online “social harms” would be created.

BuzzFeed News has obtained details of the proposals, which would see the establishment of an internet regulator similar to Ofcom, which regulates broadcasters, telecoms, and postal communications.

More from that warm and caring, everso cuddly, Big Brother:

Three Square Market has made headlines in the past for microchipping employees.

News headlines about school shootings, missing person cases and random acts of violence can leave people feeling as though the threat of chaos is ever-present.

That can explain why, for some parents, the temptation to check in on a child is equally persistent.

Patrick McMullen, president of Three Square Market, a Wisconsin-based technology company known for microchipping employees, thinks his firm has developed a solution: a new app called “Mom I Am Ok.”

Designed for family members, the app will launch this month and allow parents to set agreed-upon “check-ins” with their children or loved ones. Those check-ins arrive in the form of push notifications asking whether the phone’s owner is safe. If the recipient doesn’t respond “yes” to the notification, the app can determine everywhere that person has been and deliver that information to loved ones or law enforcement officials. If people are separated from their phones, however, they can no longer be effectively tracked.

‘Brutal slaughter’ will cost £1,000 per animal, claim campaigners, as government defends battle to beat bovine TB

Trapped in a cage and shot at close range, the badger takes almost a minute to die. Covert footage published online by the Observer, the first to be shared publicly, shows the main method of dispatching Britain’s largest indigenous carnivore as part of a controversial cull now being expanded by the environment secretary, Michael Gove, which farmers insist is vital to curb the spread of TB in cattle.

Men who stopped lorries to become first environmental campaigners to be jailed for a protest in UK since 1932, says defence lawyer.

Simon Roscoe Blevins, 26, Richard Loizou, 31 and Richard Roberts, 36, were told by a judge to expect custodial sentences after being convicted of causing a public nuisance by a jury at Preston crown court in August. Another defendant, Julian Brock, 47, pleaded guilty so did not face trial.

The four men were charged after taking part in a four-day direct action protest that blocked a convoy of trucks carrying drilling equipment from entering the Preston New Road fracking site near Blackpool.
