I hope you’re well. Firstly, sincere thanks to those of you who emailed me or sent messages online. I really appreciate it. I just switched on the PC for the first time in over a week. I’ll keep it brief. I collapsed at home last weekend and was taken to hospital. I’ve been dealing with sleep deprivation/insomnia for many years. I average 3 – 4 hours a night as an absolute maximum, no exaggeration. I’ve learned to cope with it and to live with it. Countless doctors have recommended various medications for it, but I’ve always refused medication. I’ve seen healers too and tried the naturopathic/homeopathic route to no avail.
A word from Richie
Sixty years ago this fall, Bigfoot first stepped into the public consciousness. “Giant footprints puzzle residents,” a headline in the Humboldt Times announced. The small Northern California newspaper reported that a road construction crew had discovered humanlike footprints that were a massive 16 inches long. The paper was the first to give the mysterious animal that made the prints its memorable moniker—“Bigfoot”—and the creature has been stomping through the American imagination ever since.
Why Do So Many People Still Want to Believe in Bigfoot?
Few of the simple pleasures of life are as satisfying as taking a walk through the woods: we can enjoy the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the calls of myriad unseen birds, the occasional glimpse of wildlife…but these sensory pleasures soon turn terrifying in the dark of night: sounds are magnified, the breaking of a twig underfoot jars our nerves, and “the fear of being caught and eaten,” in the words of sociologist Enrico Canetti, becomes all too real.
Night wanderers: The armies of darkness
Although less than 2 miles from Oxford’s city centre St. Margaret’s is hidden behind trees and shrubbery at the end of a long and winding country lane. The church is a strange, isolated and moody little building sometimes welcoming and warm while at other times slightly sinister. It is lighted only by oil lamps and candles as it has no electricity supply.

Over 16 officers surrounded the Indigenous man; some three minutes later Morrison was found blue and unresponsive.
Disturbing footage released during the coronial inquest of an aboriginal man show more than a dozen officers swarming the young Indigenous detainee just moments before his death.
The final moments of Wayne “Fella” Morrison, 29, were displayed for members of the court Monday where more than 16 officers are recorded restraining the Indigenous man prior to his transfer to maximum security at a facility three minutes away.
On his arrival, Morrison was found blue and unresponsive. He was declared brain dead and taken to in Australia’s Royal Adelaide hospital where he died three days later.

Back in the mid-to-late 1990s, Robin Cole was someone who dug deep into one specific aspect of the UFO phenomenon (he was part of a now-closed group called Circular Forum). Cole focused his attention on the connection between UFOs and the U.K.’s Government Communications Headquarters, better known as GCHQ. It’s the U.K.’s equivalent of the United States’ National Security Agency. Wikipedia state: “The Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) is an intelligence and security organization responsible for providing signals intelligence (SIGINT) and information assurance to the government and armed forces of the United Kingdom.”
UFO Encounters, Saucers and Secrets
As many who are reading this will remember, I have had a life-time of otherworldly encounters, and (probably connected) constant surveillance and (maybe associated) life-threatening situations and close-calls. In a number of these situations I have witnesses and it may be that their physical close-ness to me in those moments is what saved their lives. I met Robin Cole and a lady when they came to interview me about my contact experiences. Mark Birdsall, then of UFO Magazine, now of Eye Spy magazine, had sent them. This was probably about the same time frame that Redfern interviewed Cole). Robin Cole and his companion took away with them several of my photographs of personal experiences, which took a very long time to get back (years) – I was told only that they had been misplaced and had only just been found. Something felt odd to me. The interview took place in a Little Chef, near Eynsham, Oxford, virtually opposite where, on a previous occasion, I watched a passenger aircraft (possibly a Boeing 737) stock-still, silent, and low in the sky for many minutes whilst driving towards Oxford one night. The plane was pointing northeastwards, which is a towards Oxford Airport. Perhaps time, and not the plane, stopped; though I did watch the stationary aircraft as I motored all the way from the outskirts of Witney (a distance of about 3 miles), wound the window down to listen and look at it a I passed…and I remember the drive and other vehicles. I told my friend about it as soon as I got to his place and the next day went back to Eynsham to see if perhaps there was, or had been a very large Boeing-shaped and sized blimp above the place. There wasn’t and hadn’t been. – Ellis
In one of my recent articles here at Mysterious Universe – titled UFO Encounters, Saucers and Secrets – I highlighted the UFO connection to the U.K.’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), which is the U.K.’s equivalent of the United States’ National Security Agency (NSA). I stated: “Robin Cole, of Cheltenham, England, spent a great deal of time addressing the matter of GCHQ and UFOs.
GCHQ and UFO Secrets
In this, the third and final installment of my 3-part article on the UFO connection to the U.K.’s Government Communications Headquarters, I will once again share with you the words of Robin Cole, who I interviewed back in the 1990s on his research into the UFO-GCHQ link. This part of the story deals with what happened when, from Cole’s perspective, it all got very weird – and even sinister. Cole told me: “GCHQ have a copy of my report [titled GCHQ and the UFO Cover-Up]. I don’t know how they got hold of it, but it wasn’t from me, and they obtained it before it went on general release. I know that much.”
Surveillance, Saucers and Spies
As a follow-on to my recent article, “The Berwyn Mountains’ UFO: A Case That Never Dies,” I thought I would share with you the account of a woman named Anne Owen. She has an interesting story to relate, which may have some connection to the alleged crash of a UFO on the aforementioned mountains in North Wales on the night of January 23, 1974. Anne begins: “We had bought two, derelict, four-hundred-year-old cottages which we were converting. This was on a mountain above Trefriw and Llanrwst near the River Conwy. We’d taken a caravan up and a horse, as well, and our two children. We had a friend of ours visiting us at the time – a lecturer and mathematician from Toronto University – and we converted a small barn into a bit of a house with a window for him. We were in the caravan with the children, as we couldn’t move into the cottages yet. That night – January twenty-three – the horse was very restless, so we put him near our caravan. But later in the night he started rocking the caravan and was in a terrible state.”

How old is the Tarot?
This is a question that seems easy to answer today. As playing cards, we can confidently map the Tarot to the early 15th century.
Mystery solved? Well, it’s not quite that simple.
