We like to think that we now live in a civilized society of science and reason, and that myth, monsters, and magic are all dead, those few pockets of remaining such beliefs mere vestigial relics of a lost, forgotten time and pushed into the shadows of our history. Yet there are places in this world, occasionally well-established within otherwise developed countries, where belief in dark and mystical forces is just as strong as ever, and magic is still considered to be a very real thing that permeates our reality. Unfortunately, where there is black magic there are also those who would seek to destroy it at all costs, and while many of us may consider the concept of witch hunts as strictly the denizen of centuries past, these hunts continue all over the world right on up into the present day with actually rather alarming frequency. Here we have an almost shadow world underlying our own, where for all intents and purposes dark magic and monsters are real, and a battle wages with these forces in which, whether there really is magic or not, people are definitely really dying.

Tesla said it. Einstein agreed. Science proved it. It is a known fact that everything—including our own bodies—is made up of energy vibrating at different frequencies. That being said, it seems logical to wonder, can sound frequencies affect us?

It would appear that this is the case. Frequencies affect frequencies, much like mixing ingredients with other ingredients affects the overall flavour of a meal. The way frequencies affect the physical world has been demonstrated through various experiments, such as the science of Cymatics and water memory.

The Earth emits a very specific vibrational frequency known as the Schumann Resonance, which is spoken about in depth in the article below. When we have our bare skin touching the surface of the earth (or if we are immersed in a natural body of water) we automatically become tuned to this vibration, which produces profound healing effects in the body. This is one of the principles on which the science of grounding is based.

…and yet it is A = 430.54 Hz that gives middle C accurately at 256 Hz?

It’s increasingly hard to find a web page dedicated to the sales of alternative medicine products or New Age spirituality that does not cite the Schumann resonances as proof that some product or service is rooted in science. This mysterious number of 7.83 comes up again and again in sales pitches, as a sort of miracle frequency that can bring you health and wellness. Today we’re going to see what the Schumann resonances actually are, how they formed and what they do, and see if we can determine whether they are, in fact, related to human health.
Facts and Fiction of the Schumann Resonance

Researchers have examined how the heart and brain communicate with each other and how that affects our consciousness and the way in which we perceive our world. For example, when a person is feeling really positive emotions like gratitude, love, or appreciation, the heart beats out a certain message.

Because the heart beats out the largest electromagnetic field produced in the body, researchers are able to gather significant data from it. According to Rolin McCratey, Ph.D, and Director of Research at the Institute:

“Emotional information is actually included and modulated into these fields. By learning to shift our emotions, we are changing the information coded into the magnetic fields that are radiated by the heart, and that can impact those around us.

We are fundamentally and deeply connected with each other and the planet itself, and what we do individually really does count and matters.”

I never heard of the Bray Road Beast until 2007 or 2008,” wrote a northern Wisconsin man named Nick Gluchman who lived in southern Walworth County until 1994. “I thought I was the only person to see it until I heard about it on TV. The minute I heard Elkhorn mentioned I felt exonerated. I’ve only told maybe four people what happened and you can imagine the responses I got. I was 34 when it happened, I’m now 65. I figured I better tell my story while I’m still above ground.

A stone throwing poltergeist is terrorising the residents of Sohatu, a small village around forty kilometres south-east of Bucharest. Romania has a long tradition of stone-throwing poltergeists; in Fortean Times 363 (February 2018) I described a similar outbreak in the town of Naipu.

The Sohatu case, which has continued for well over a week, was first covered by Romania TV on 4 August. As clearly terrified residents told the RTV reporter, they first thought the rock throwing was simply local children, but after nine days they have still been not able to locate the culprits.

One strange phenomena that seems to go back well into the recesses of the shadows of time is that of demonic possession, the idea that mysterious entities from beyond our reality can jump forth to take over our bodies like a hand in a puppet. There are countless such accounts throughout history, to various levels of veracity, and the idea of such possessions has been explained away as anything from mental illness, to delusions, to outright lies. Yet, every once in awhile a case will come along that seems to be beyond rational explanation, and shows that there may be more to it than just hoaxes and misunderstandings.

Back in the early 1900s, a girl by the name of Clara Germana Cele was attending school at a place called St. Michael’s Mission, in Natal, South Africa. By all accounts the young, 16-year-old girl, an orphan, was a fairly normal, even quiet girl, and she was just as devout and religious as any of her peers. There would have been nothing at the time to indicate that anything was amiss with her, or that dark forces were gathering about her like storm clouds rolling in on a clear day, and there certainly would have been no indication that this sweet young girl was to go on to become one of the scariest demonic possession cases on record.

War brings with it violence, horror, strife, and madness. Among all of the chaos and bloodshed there can be some rather strange incidents indeed, and across the ages there have been various accounts of something very strange going on behind the scenes of our relentless drive to kill ourselves. Although there are plenty of reports of the killing and death of war, what is not often reported upon are the numerous cases of strange sightings and phenomena that seem to be going on as well. Perhaps some of the more bizarre of these are the baffling and sinister entities that have been seen in wartime of a decidedly supernatural, perhaps even demonic nature. Here is a selection of wartime encounters with creatures and beings that seem to lie beyond our current understanding of the world as we know it.
Military Encounters with Supernatural Demonic Entities

During the summer of 1967, a man from Minnesota named Frank Hansen first revealed to the public an incredible exhibit in the form of a sideshow attraction which he labelled ‘The Minnesota Iceman’.

The unusual exhibit consisted of an extraordinary primitive-looking, hair-covered humanoid which had been shot dead and laid in water in a refrigerated coffin and subsequently frozen until the creature became fully encased in a large block of ice (see image below).
